A Good Pitch + Public Showcase @ A Good Space

Description
How did this get started?

A month ago in December 2017, we wrote an article on the Internet, wanting to give away 5 x $1,000 to 5 changemakers who have a burning desire to bring about greater social cohesion through innovative, ground up projects focused on expanding perspectives and inspiring communities.

We received 43 applications from people of all walks of life, with many inspiring ideas to serve various segments of society. We were deeply moved by the thought, kindness and candor that everybody put into their applications.

What is the public showcase about?

Thus, we want to organize an showcase where all 43 applicants can share their wonderful ideas and projects to the public!

You'll get to:
  • See all 43 ideas proposed by our applicants
  • Meet the passionate changemakers behind them and hear their stories in person
  • Explore volunteer opportunities and new ways you can give back
  • Find collaboration opportunities for social initiatives you're working on
  • Discover how you can play a part in expanding perspectives and inspiring communities
  • Hear 19 applicants pitch for the 5 x $1,000 grants on offer
  • And much more... all in an afternoon of fun!
A diverse list of issues is covered, including: sexual assault, migrant workers, seniors, food waste, environmental sustainability, death and much more.

Besides the showcase, we've also shortlisted 19 projects from the 43 applicants for a pitching session to a panel of judges, from which we will select 5 projects to receive the $1,000 grant each!
